A workshop designed to give newcomers to rope the best possible introduction to shibari and enough skills to be able to have a rope scene at the end of the day.

In this introduction to Shibari you will learn fundamental skills and techniques which will be applicable to all your bondage will be covered with applications and practice and work with forms including lower and upper body ties.

We will work on skills to enable you to focus wholeheartedly on the person you’re tying with and discuss the concept of working to reach the stage where tying doesn’t get in the way of connection.

The class will include floorwork and practical exercises to help you explore applying and having fun with the techniques learned during the day.

There will be a lot of information for bottoms and tops which will be useful to both perspectives.

This practical bondage class is suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to more advanced students who would like to improve their fundamental skills and understanding.

What to bring? Yourselves and some rope plus safety sheers.

If you don’t have your own rope or sheers, we have rope and sheers for sale at the studio plus a limited supply of communal rope at the studio.

What to wear? Clothes comfortable for tying in, fitness, dance or yoga clothes are fine as well as underwear.
